We are a congregation of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod.

We confess that the sole rule and standard by which all teachings and teachers should be judged are the prophetic and apostolic Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments alone.

We confess that the Lutheran Confessions, as contained in the Book of Concord, are a true exposition of these Holy Scriptures.

God

We teach, as confessed in the Nicene, Apostles’, and Athanasian Creed that there is only one God. This God has revealed that in the Unity of the Divine Essence, there are three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. By “persons” we confess, with the Historic Church, that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are not a part of, quality, or mode, but that which subsists in itself.

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is our only Savior. He is the incarnate Son of God, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, was buried, descended into hell, rose from the dead on the third day, ascended into Heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. He will rule as King forever.

Salvation

We believe that Salvation is a gift of God’s grace alone, received by faith alone, accomplished by Christ’s work alone.

Jesus Christ, though He did not sin, took our sins onto His own body and on the cross suffered the punishment for our sins. This He did as a substitutionary sacrifice.
