Our Pastor

Pastor Matthew Lorfeld grew up in Green Bay, WI and is a 1998 graduate of N.E.W. Lutheran High School. He went on to study computer science at Concordia University Wisconsin in Mequon, WI. Upon graduation, he worked for Thrivent Financial in the IT department there. In 2005 Matthew began attending Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO. In 2009, he received his first call to La Crescent, MN, where he served 8 years until he received a call to Blue Earth, MN. There he served 5 1/2 years until he received and accepted the call to serve as pastor at St. John Lutheran Church in Kellner, WI.

Pastor is married to Heidi who is a nurse in Steven’s Point and he has 4 very active boys.
