Thank You From SWEPS

Dear St. John Lutheran Congregation,

Thank you so much for your generous gift of 4 boxes of food donated to the South Wood Emergency Pantry Shelf (SWEPS) on February 19, 2007. During 2006 our SWEPS volunteers filled 938 requests for food. They have already served 96 families in January 2007. Each of the families receives 7 days worth of food and hygiene items. Food is such a basic need and certainly no one in our community should have to be hungry. We are able to fill this need and provide food because you care. The Food Pantry is supported solely by the community of churches, organizations, businesses and individuals in our area. We are staffed by volunteers also. Thank you for being a part of that supportive community!!

Sincerely, Judy Steele, Treasurer, SWEPS Board
