Thank you for any help you can provide for this much needed mission in our community.

Thank You

The “Sweetest Event of the Year” took place on Saturday, December 2 at St. John Lutheran Church right here in Kellner!!! For the 12 th year in a row, the Cooks, Bakers and Candy Makers of St. John produced the best tasting, most beautiful and the tastiest sweet items possible! The church basement was turned into the best “Cookie and Candy Shoppe” in the area! This special holiday event could not have taken place without the generosity of the parishioners of St. John sharing their talents! Everyone involved in the project is to be thanked for sharing his or her time and talents. The ladies also wish to extend a special thank you to our “Auxiliary” members for the help to set-up and take down the tables. Taylor Funeral Home, Ritchay Funeral Home and Higgins Funeral Home donated the advertising. Country Tots Child Care Center donated marquee advertising. The profits from this “Sweet Event” will be used for several church projects. The sharing of talent and fellowship gives everyone at St. John the spirit of the holiday—giving and sharing in love. Thank you again, and we wish you all a Blessed New Year!

Thank You

The Board of Education would like to thank the Children and Adult Choir for the wonderful job they did in presenting “A Shepherd’s Christmas.” Thank you for supporting the Children’s Christmas Service with your attendance.

Hearts For Jesus

Deal or No Deal is coming to St. John in the month of February. We will display 25 suitcases and a list of 25 prizes. Next to each suitcase will be a can to place your tickets in. Tickets will sell for $1.00 for 1 or $5.00 for 6. Nobody will know who will win what prize until March 7 after the Lenten Service. We will have our own Weekday School chldren be the openers of the suitcases to reveal the contents, as the persons name is drawn from the can for that particular numbered suitcase. We wish for the congregation members to participate along with our Weekday School children. Our charity this year that we picked is CARING CLOSET founded by Carrie Siler. It is local in Wisconsin Rapids and surrounding schools including Port Edwards & Nekoosa--helping children in K-12th grades. All proceeds will go to this charity to help our local students. More information about the charity will be included in the February Newsletter.
