Palm Branches

He Is Coming

On Palm Sunday, April 1 at the 9:30 AM service seven youth will tell how the people of Judea came to discover the Christ, his work and his teachings. Hymns and anthems will be shared by St. John Choir and Weekday School Children.

Soup and Sandwich

The Maundy Thursday morning service on April 5 will be followed by a soup and sandwich luncheon sponsored by the Ladies Aid. For a free will donation you can enjoy a hot bowl of homemade soup and a sandwich.

Easter Breakfast

The Evening Guild will be serving Easter breakfast between services on Easter Sunday, April 8 from 7:30 to 8:30 AM. Tickets will be available at the door. Adults $4.00, children $2.50, 5 & under free. All are welcome!

LWML Rally Invitation

SALT (LWML) of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 3210 Maple Drive, Plover, extends a most welcome invite to all the ladies and guests to the LWML Spring Rally of Zone 17. The Rally will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2007, beginning with registration at 8:30 AM. Registration fee is $4.00 which includes the luncheon and “early bird” coffee. The Christian Life topic is “Don’t Worry, Be Happy,” presented by Chris Voelker. Our speaker for the morning will be Lucy Redman who will share the topic “Scripture Quilts.” Gifts for sharing will be gathered for First Choice, a Pregnancy Resource Center, of Stevens Point. Items for new-born babies and their Moms will be appreciated. Also, don’t forget to bring your collected “Stamps for Mission.” We look forward to having you join us on April 14 for a special time of Christian fellowship.

Children’s Festival

The Board of Education of St. John will be a participant at the Children’s Festival promoting Avalanche Ranch VBS 2007. The event is at Lincoln High School on Saturday, April 21 from 10 AM to 4 PM. This is a fun opportunity for children of our community. If you are a youth or adult that would like to volunteer as a helper at the event contact Sandra Sweeney 886-4864.

Evening Guild Cookout at Wal-Mart

Evening Guild will be having a cookout at Wal-Mart on April 21 at 10:00 AM. Stop over for lunch. Thanks for your support!

Fellowship Sunday

Since Easter falls on the 2 nd Sunday of the month our April Fellowship Sunday will be on April 22. Please join us after the 9:30 AM service. If you would like to serve for Fellowship Sunday sometime in the future please sign up (north bulletin board) and bring bars or cookies and coffee.

Confirmation Cross

Confirmation Sunday

St. John will have six young adults confirming their Christian faith before the congregation on Sunday, April 29. This year’s 8 th grade confirmation students are: Ariel Anderson, Tyler Hansen, Katie Jagodinski, Mariah Reber, Molly Snodgrass, Apryl Zimmerman. Please keep these students in your prayers as they finish up their confirmation studies and prepare themselves to make their vows before their families and our congregation.
