Donations for Moving Expenses

The Ladies Aid has given $500 towards the moving fund for Pastor Ader. If you would like to help with the moving expenses of Pastor Ader please place your donation in the cardboard moving van in the narthex.

Church Website

Check us out at: http://www.lutheransonline.com/lo/stjohnkellner.

Our format has changed and we hope you like our new look. We would also like everyone to know that we are now linked to The Heart of Wisconsin Business & Alliance Website. This link provides us with a wonderful outreach opportunity to the community and beyond. We would like to thank the Ladies Evening Guild and the Evangelism Board for making this outreach opportunity possible. If you have any comments, questions or suggestions for our church website please feel free to call the church office. In the meantime we hope you enjoy our website and visit it often.

New Paraments

New Green Paraments are on display in the Narthex. The Paraments were purchased by the Ladies Aid, Evening Guild and the Lundquist family memorial. We are very thankful for these lovely cloths that will enhance our worship setting as we again give all Glory to God alone.

Church Library

The church library will be having its annual book sale during the fall bazaar. As you begin your fall cleaning please consider donating books, tapes, CD’s, hand held video games and videos for the sale. Bring your items in a bag marked “Book Sale” and place them in the library area. Your donations are greatly appreciated. The money from this sale allows us to make new purchases for the library. The library committee is also looking for new members. If you are interested in helping out call Barb Johnson 424-5529 or Laurel Zager 421-5674.

Donations For Installation

Anyone wishing to help offset the expense of Pastor Ader’s installation service, may do so by placing their monetary donation in a offertory envelope marked “Donations For Installation.” Pre-marked envelopes can be found in the pews. Please place donations in the offertory plate. Thank you.

Friends of Concordia Dinner Theatre

Come along with Friends of Concordia NW Region to Fanny Hill Dinner Theatre, Eau Claire to see “Cash on Delivery” on Wednesday, September 21. A con artist has been duping the government for years by collecting a variety of benefits for fictitious boarders. In an attempt to go “legit”, he kills off some of his fictional friends only to find he is now eligible for more benefits. The situation snowballs into pure hilarity. Enjoy a fantastic lunch before this hilarious production. Reservation information regarding cost and time are available by calling Ruth Goers 715-387-8906.

From the Call Committee—

Pastor Ader and family will be here starting September 1st, to start his ministry with us. He is eager to begin getting to know everyone at St. John. His Installation service will be September the 18 th, at 4:30 p.m. at St. John Church. We look forward to seeing you there to help celebrate our new pastor and his family. Immediately following this special service we will have a dinner and social in our banquet hall down stairs. All members and guests are welcome to come and get to know our new Pastor and his family at this time. God has truly blessed our congregation. Let us rejoice in His servant!
